Bicycle parking building, Antwerp.
Visionandfactory was selected by the NMBS (Belgian Railway Corporation) to design an architectual intervention for  a new bicycle parking building in Antwerp. The building was designed by the architect/engineer Thomas Lootvoet.
We won the competition, developed a typographic concept and designed a monospaced font which is split in two. One side silkscreened/ingrained in the glass, the other side painted on the inside floor of the building.
From the outside, one can only see a sort of unreadable sign system and from the inside the cyclist can read entire words. These words are forming a sort of never-ending poem. As the same time it has a certain function, as a sort of reminder where the cyclist parked his bike.
